ESIC is a social security scheme to provide health insurance benefits to the employees in India. Employees whose monthly gross salary is below 21,000 Rs will become eligible for ESIC scheme. There are some crores of employees (0.75%)are contributing to ESI every month from their salary, at the same time employers (3.25%) are also contributing to ESI scheme.

- In order to change the IP name in the ESIC portal, the employer needs to submit a request letter to their regional ESIC office. Till now there is no online process to correct name in ESI.
- But make sure that the request letter should be attested by the employer.
- Take this letter printout on the company letterhead.
- Finally, after writing this letter either employee or employer needs to submit this letter to their regional ESIC office. Within 15-30 days ESIC will make the corrections to employee name.
