Here we will know how to fill EPF grievance registration form and how much time EPFO will take to resolve the issues.

What is EPF Grievance Portal

EPF grievance portal is a platform created by employee provident fund organization which allows EPF members and employers to register their complaints. The best part of registering a complaint at EPF grievance portal is, when you register a complaint here then it will reach to your regional EPF office where your complete EPF data is present. So it becomes easier for the EPF officer to solve your problem.

Recently EPFO introduced new EPF grievance portal with the new design, which is making registering complaints much easier.

How to Register a Grievance / Complaint at EPF Grievance Portal

Step 1:- To register a grievance at PF portal go EPFiGMS.GOV.IN website. In home page click on Register Grievance option.

Step 2:- Now select your status whether you are PF member or EPS Pensioner or Employer or Others. If you selected PF member as a status then enter your UAN number and captcha appearing on the screen and click on get details.

Step 3:- Now last Three digits of your UAN number and mobile number will appear on the screen. Now click on Get OTP option. Now an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number. Now enter that OTP and click on submit.

Step 4:- Now select your gender and enter your personal details like your address, alternate mobile number and email id. After entering all the details click on the PF account number for which you are raising a grievance.

Step 5:- Now you need to EPF grievance registration form. Here you need to select to whom EPF grievance related and  grievance category and enter the description of your grievance. If you have any supporting documents then attach those documents, finally click on Add.

Step 6:- Now your grievance details will appear on the screen, if you want to edit your grievance details then you can edit them or you can remove them. If everything is fine then click on submit.

How to raise EPF grievance

Once you click on submit, you will get a successful registration message on your screen with the registration number i.e complaint number. The same details will be sent to your registered mobile number. Not your registration number, you can use it further to send a reminder and to track the status of your complaint.

EPF Grievance Resolve Time

The time taken to resolve EPF complaints varies from case to case but the maximum time is 30 days. But you will get a reply to your email id from your regional EPF office within 24-48 hours (if there are no holidays). Once you receive the reply from EPF office then you can proceed further.

EPF Grievance Registration Number Not Received What to Do

After every successful EPF grievance registration an EPF grievance registration number will be generated, if you didn’t receive means, your complaint is not registered. In this case, try to register grievance again.

If you again don’t receive PF grievance registration number then try in another system or change the browser. ( EPFO recommends latest versions of web browsers like Google Chrome, Mozilla FireFox or Internet Explorer.)

EPF Grievance Not Submitting What to Do

If your grievance not submitting then it is problem with your web browser as I said earlier always try to register your grievance in the latest version of Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer.

How to Send Reminder at EPF Grievance Portal

EPF members who didn’t get any reply from EPFO can send a reminder. To send a reminder again go to EPF grievance portal and select Send Reminder option in the menu bar.

Now a new page will open, here enter your EPF grievance registration number, and there is no need to enter grievance password if you have registered your grievance in new grievance portal, just leave that field blank.

Now enter your mobile number/email id and type the reminder message and finally enter the captcha and click on submit. Now a reminder will be sent to your EPF office.

How to Track EPF Complaint Status

To track your PF complaint status again go to EPFiGMS website, and click on View Status option in the menu bar. Now a new page will open, here enter your complaint number, leave the password field blank, and enter the mobile number & captcha and finally click on submit to track your EPF complaint status.

    Can register grievances again once not proper solution received from PF department.
    I already register & received the status CASE DISPOSED OF but Final Decision is not satisfied so can re register the same grievances ,

  2. Whoever wrote that code for OTP generation has done it very badly. Pathetic that they can send an OTP properly. Such is the state of websites serving public and we are dreaming of a digital India when our developers and website owners are unable to address basics issues.

  3. i’M NOT RECEIVING OTP TO MY REGISTERED MOBILE NUMBER. NOT SURE IF THE PROBLEM IS WITH EPFO OR WITH MY NUMBER.

    I Had registered complaint DLLXM/E/2021/06345 on 20 Mar 2021 but till date complaint not yet closed and showing as Claim under process, but when did I will receive balance amount of Pension scheme My UAN No is 100997768758 my self Saroj Kumar Jena.

  5. I want to change name in my EPF account .In Basic detail updating I am not able to upload my name document(as Upload option not shown),

    Also want to Register in Grievance but in OTP Step – when I am putting OTP it shows invalid OTP..

    What should I do NOW…

  6. I have raised a Grievance vide ref no BANNP/E/2020/14508 on 066/07/2020.
    The issue is my ex employer is holding my PF in their trust and is not allowing me to withdraw my PF money despite of furnishing all relevant documents . The reason cited by them is I have not submitted Form 16 for FY 2019-20 ( which I dont have as the company has not mailed me till date). My last date of leaving the organisation was Jan 2020 and since then they have not provided the Form 16 by mail or courier. In place of that I have provided Form 26AS which I could download for Income tax website. The harassment by the company is continuing ever since I have left the organisation even after dutifully serving the notice period. I have been formally issued Relieving letter also in the month of Feb 2020. Please help me in punishing these fraudsters.

    im trying to raise the request, but after clicking “submit” button getting ERRO – Something Went wrong….i tried in google chrome, IE Also but same error found.

  9. I have claimed PF amount through online 3 months ago but amount has not been credited as claim status is showing Under progress. And i have raised grievance complaint also and mailed them but no one is responding, Please help me to get the contact number or response from PF office.

      I am facing the same issue. I sent request to change name but it was rekected my Mumbai Field Officer with reason MRC or Gazzette.

      So I have registered a grievance on http://epfigms.gov.in/ with gazzette document asn requested to change the name. My Grievance is registered but I am still waiting for response.

      Generally, they contact back you within 2 days, based on your problem it will take time, maximum 15-30 days.

    Myself Anirban. I have applied for my PF on 26th of June, 2019, and the status of my PF claim is showing as ” SETTLED” and it’s showing as amount sent on 9th of July, 2019 via NEFT, however till date I have not received my PF amount in my bank account. I have rechecked all my bank details are absolutely correct.

    In this case, what should I do ?

      Generally, it will not take more than 3 days, so pls contact your bank branch if your bank account details are correct.

  13. I have changed my mobile number in UAN
    But grievance screen showing my old which was lost mobile number
    Whenever I am registering grievance in this new grievance screen and click for PF member option
    It asks for Otp which was linked with UAN
    But after updating in portal why it is showing old lost mobile number
    When I click on Others and then register the grievance I am getting registration number of grievance but no response/status after reminding also
    What to do?

  14. I was trying to Register a Grievance by the mentioned procedure. But in step 4 after entering personal details, I am not able to click on PF number. There is no link to click on that number. It’s just plain text. What to do in this case?

  15. I have applied partial withdrawal ( form 31) for hospital emergency on 05 April 2019.That day to till the date system shows its under process.How I can understand the present status.When it will credit in my account.

      It will take maximum 30 days, even if your claim status doesn’t change after 5th May then raise a grievance at PF portal.
