ESIC members can get their ESIC Pehchan card by asking their employers. Only the employers can download the ESIC Pehchan card online on their employer ESIC portal. So if you want your ESIC card then ask your employer they will download and provide it to you in just minutes.
How to Download ESIC e-Pehchan Card
Only employers can able to download the ESIC E Pehchan cards of employees in their employer ESIC portal. Here is a step by step process on how to download ESIC Pehchan card.
Step 1: To download ESIC E Pehchan card login to employer ESIC portal with establishment ESIC code and password.
Step 2: Now on the home page there is an option called e-Pehchan card under the employee section, now click on e pehchan card option.
Step 3: Now a new page will open there enter the IP number of the insured person and click on view.
Step 4: Now details of the insured person will appear on screen like the name of the IP, date of registration in ESIC and gender. On right hand side, there is an option called view counter foil now click on that.
Step 5: Now the E Pehchan card of the employee will open, now check whether all the details like nominee details, family members details and dispensary details are present or not. If they are not present then update those details and take the print out of E Pehchan card.
Step 6: Now sign on this ESIC card and affix your family photograph and attest the photograph with your employer and finally take the signature of the ESIC officer.
How to Update Family Details in ESIC Card
The employer can update family members details whenever the insured person marries somebody and when new family members add to their family. To update family details in ESIC card again ask your employer to update their details.
To update your family members details your employer will log in to their employer ESIC portal and there update option is available, once details are updated then again take the print out of the e-Pehchan card.
How to Edit E Pehchan Card
Editing or correcting E Pehchan card is very easy, except some details like name and date of birth of insured person remaining details can be edited by the employer. Whenever the address of the employee changes or whenever an insured person wants to change ESIC dispensary can ask their employer to edit those details. Once they edit those details then again takeout the new print out.
The validity of ESIC Pehchan Card
Until the employer doesn’t mention the exit date in their employer ESIC portal till then ESIC Pehchan card is valid. But remember the ESIC contribution period is divided into two parts, one is from 1 April to 30 September and another one is from 1 October to 31 March. So when you left your job in the above mention period then you are eligible for ESIC medical treatment until completion of that particular Six months ESIC contribution period.

It is not mandatory to you have your family members photographs on ESIC card, tell your employer to add your parents names and aadhar numbers in ESIC portal, it will be enough. You can also ask your employer to add Two dispensaries one is in Pune and other one is in Kerala, so your parents can also get treatment in their nearest ESI dispensary.
ESIC is getting deducted from my salary account so is it that only I can avail of the facility or even my wife n 2 children. I also have a dependent brother who is handicap 98 percent, can I avail this benefit for him to under me or all needs to be done separately.

From my Wife’s salary, esic amount was cutting since Feb 2017 to July 2017(Work Started from Aug 10/2016, but employer ESI cutting starts from Feb). My wife is now 5 months Pregnant and due date is on March. Due to having some complications (pregnancy sickness), not able to continue to work since Aug 2017. Doctor prescribed for complete bed rest. We’re having ESIC insurance number. But not received any Pehchan card or anything. My wife was hospitalized in a Private Hospital also for 4 days on last week . When I went to our ESI Dispensary, they were asking me to submmit the E-Pehchan letter inorder to get the benefits.

You can get ESI benefits from your ESI dispensary, In order to get those benefits you need to get temporary ESIC ID card(Print Counter Foil) from your employer and before printing temporary ESI id card give your family aadhar numbers to your employer, so that they link your aadhar numbers with ESIC IP number. With the temporary ESIC ID card, your wife can get all ESIC benefits.

Does the employer ready to give the Temporary card(Print Counter Foil), since my wife is not working from Aug 2017. Aadhar number has already been linked (I think so). when I checked the details on ESIC website, its showing my details and wife with Aadhar number and all are verified.

If your employer is deducting ESI from your salary then from first-month onwards you can avail ESIC benefits. In order to avail ESIC benefits take print counterfoil(temporary ESI card) from your employer and submit it to ESIC office. If you visit ESIC office along with your family members with this print counter foil then they will take your photograph and within 30 days you will get your ESIC pehchan card.

You have to fill ESIC contribution transfer form and submit it to your present employer, download ESIC contribution Transfer form
But you have to find your previous ESIC number other wise you can’t able to transfer your ESIC contribution. You can ask your previous employer or you can check your pay slips there you may get your previous ESIC IP number.
I visited ESI office for getting ESI pahchan done for my company employees as they earlier organised a camp and click pics with biometric fingerprint after that ESI permanent cards are issued. But they are saying now that there is no need for above process only Aadhar card number need to mention while generating IP and give print of counter foil to employees. Also do that print out need to be signed and stamped by employer.

You have to visit your regional ESIC office for the photograph along with your family members whose details are mentioned on temporary ESIC ID print out. Once your photograph will be taken, after 30days you can collect your ESIC card from ESIC office.

There is no need to take another ESI card, you can tell your employer to add your mother’s name and her Aadhar number in their employer ESI portal. This will be enough to get treatment for your mother. She doesn’t need to take any photograph at ESIC office.
Now you have to visit your concerned ESIC dispensary along with your mother, then they will guide you about treatment.

If you don’t remember your ESI number then it is not possible to get it. You have to ask your previous employer to know your ESI number. Other wise tell your new employer to generate new ESI number. But after some days your previous ESI number appear as the duplicate in your employer ESI portal. ( There is no exact time for this it may be 1 month or 12 months). When your previous ESI number appears as a duplicate then your present employer will mark it as duplicate and you have to fill ESI contribution transfer form to transfer your previous ESI contribution to new ESI number at that time.

It is not illegal, whenever your old ESI number appear as a duplicate in ESI portal then your employer will confirm it as a duplicate after that submit ESI contribution transfer form to ESI office.

You have to take a temporary ESIC card ( print counter foil) from your employer, but before that make sure that your employer has added all your family members details so that they also get ESI benefits.You can staple A5( Half of A4 Sheet) size photo graph of your family members and take your employer signature ( HR or your Manager) on print counter foil. Once you got the temporary ID card visit your regional ESIC office along with your family members. There ESIC officer will take your family photo graph and within 30 days you or your employer can collect your ESIC card from them. In the mean while you can get medicines and treatment in your respective ESIC dispensary with Temporary ESIC Card i.e print counter foil.
