Solution: No Previous Employment Details Found Against This UAN in PF Transfer

Are you here because when you are trying to do online PF transfer at UAN member portal you are facing this error that “No previous employment details found against this UAN“. This is most common error appears when you enter wrong UAN number or wrong PF member ID or previous PF account details which don’t have an exit date. You can easily solve this problem by reading below solutions.

 

Reasons & Solutions for this Problem

As I mentioned earlier the reasons for this problem is maybe incorrect UAN or incorrect member ID or previous PF account details which don’t have an exit date.

1. Incorrect UAN

When you enter an incorrect UAN number then you will definitely find this error that “no previous employment details found against this UAN”. So when you get this error then immediately check whether you have entered correct UAN number or not.

Solution:

Just enter your correct UAN number and try again.

2. Incorrect PF Member ID

Along with UAN number employees also have an option to enter PF account number ( PF member ID / MID) for PF transfer. If you enter incorrect PF member ID then also you will get this error.

Solution:

Step 1:- Use Get MID option to find your correct PF account number.  To do that click on Get MID option in PF transfer page at UAN member portal.

Step 2:- Now select the state, PF office and enter your company PF establishment code, extension number, and your PF account number. If you don’t know all these then you can easily find them on your PF passbook. After entering all the details click on Get MID, then UAN portal will automatically take your PF account number and next time you will not get this error.

3. EPF Accounts with No Date of Exit

This is the most possible reason for this error. If your previous employer didn’t mention the date of exit for your previous PF account number then you cannot able to transfer your PF amount from that account. In this case, you will get this message “details against member id does not exist“. Until the employer exits the employee till then EPF account numbers will be in the active stage.

Solution:

To solve this issue contact your previous employer and ask them to mention your EPF date of exit & EPF date of exit, remember only your employer can update your date of exit in their employer PF portal. Once the mention your exit date then you can transfer your PF amount online.

4. From Exempted Establishments to Non-Exempted Establishments & Vice Versa

When you are trying to transfer your PF amount from exempted PF establishments/trusts to non exempted establishments (or) from non exempted establishments to exempted establishments then also you may face this problem.

Solution:

Contact your employer and ask them to update trust details for your member ID and date of exit then you can transfer your PF amount without any further error.

    I transferred PF amount from my previous employer in 2017 where my previous employer do not have UAN. The amount transferred without any issue. During that time I remember that i have linked my previous employer PF number to the current UAN and I am able to see both epf accounts under same UAN in the epf portal that time. But now in the current UAN portal I am not able to see my old PF details and not showing in the service history. please help on this

    I am also getting “NO DATA FOUND AGAINST THIS MEMBER ID : DSNHP00321900000000161 WHEN CHECKING PREVIOUS EMPLOYMENT DETAILS” while transferring my PF. MY company has been closed 12 years back and now acquired by some other company. The delhi office was closed long back. Now the Delhi PF is also not helping as well as the previous company is not helping here. When i spoke to Bangalore PF office they are saying the claim reason is for EPS was wrong. ” PF WAGES MORE THAN 15000, DOJ AFTER 1/9/14, CONFIRM EPS ELIGIBILITY ELSE PROVIDE ANNEXURE K 2) FATHERs NAME DIFFERS 3) CLAIM ALREADY SETTLED” – This is the message i am getting while transferring. Could you please help here.

    My father UAN not found in heigher pension scheme..
    May 3rd last date.

    Still now few many times am visiting EPF office coimbatore.

    Not proper reply and no solution..sir

      kindly check whether aadhar number is linked to UAN number.

      Verify in the nearest EPFO office or the company where he was working

      Is he getting pension .

      Are u able to login to Unified EPFO Portal with UAN Number and password

    iam unable to transfer my existing EPF account to current organization,
    Same iam communicate to my Previous employer to put the exit date in EPF portal,
    then they tried and saying that when entered my UAN no in EPF portal following comment appeared “No data found”.
    please suggest…………..

  8. When was this article written? You surely do have an option to mark the exit date by yourself in the epfo portal under Manage -> MARK EXIT

  9. Hey, I have worked in 2 companies. In first company, I worked for 14 months and in second 8 months. Both have same UAN number. Now, when I’m applying for pf withdrawal with form 19, I’m only getting information of 2nd company joining and leaving date in the form. There is a time gap of about 3 months between my first and last job. Will I only get pf amount of second company?
    Just curious, currently I’m jobless. So, little bit concerned.
    Hope you can answer this.

    PAN CARD IS ON NAME OF PROPRIETOR.*

    WHEREAS LEGAL NAME OF FIRM IS XXXXXXXX.

    SO IF PROPRIETOR APPLY FOR PAN CARD IN NAME OF FIRM AND WE APPLY AGAIN CAN WE GET PF CODE?

    I have applied for fresh pf code for proprietorship through shram suvidha portal. after submitting and approved through digital signature. under PF Code column status shows that, “PAN NUMBER ENTERED BY YOU BELONGS TO ANOTHER ESTABLISHMENT”

    hence we could not get pf code number.

    KINDLY PROVIDE REMEDY AND HELP US TO SOLVE MATTER.
