Cheque (or) bank passbook image is mandatory to withdraw your PF amount online. When it comes to cheques you can upload an image of blank cheques or cancelled cheques. But is not mandatory to write cancelled on the cheque. But make sure your name is clearly printed on the cheque.
In case if you don’t have a cheque then you can also upload your bank passbook first-page image, (or) apply for a new cheque book from your bank.

What is Meant by Cancelled Cheque in EPF
Whenever you write cancelled on a cheque then it will be called as a cancelled cheque. It will not be used for any transactions.
But the details present on the cancelled cheque like your name, bank name, account number and IFSC code will be used to cross check your bank account details before crediting your PF amount in your bank account.

What if the name is not available on a cancelled cheque can i still withdraw my PF?
No, you can’t withdraw PF without name printed on the cheque. If you upload a cheque without name printed on it then your PF claim request will be rejected with a reason of “claim rejected member name not printed on cancelled cheque“
How to get a new cheque book?
You can apply for a new cheque book in your bank, you can request new cheque book from your bank’s internet banking website or by visiting your bank’s branch directly.
What is alternative to cheque for PF withdrawal ?
If you don’t have a cheque, then you can also upload your bank passbook first-page image. If you are uploading your bank passbook then make sure that your bank passbook has a photo with bank seal on it, otherwise your PF claim will be rejected.
Is it mandatory to write cancelled on the cheque for PF?
No, it not mandatory, it is upto you. Eventhouh you don’t write cancelled on the cheque still EPFO will accept your cheque. But make sure the image of the cheque is clear.

That means the IFSC code you updated in UAN member portal is different from the IFSC code in your bank passbook and your photo on your bank passbook should contain bank stamp and sign.

Raise a grievance at the PF portal so that you will what is the actual reason behind rejecting your claim.

I applied for PF withdrawal, but it got rejected with error :
1) PDF NOT PRITNABLE
2) CERTIFICATE ENCLOSED IS IMPROPER.
I can think of only two reasons :
1) My cheque was crossed and “Cancelled”. I just took photo of cheque and uploaded.
2) I did not upload Form 15g. I did not knew whether it need to be uploaded or if it is mandatory. Later reading your website, I understand if form 15g is not uploaded, there would be 10% TDS which I can get refunded when filing tax returns.
Any idea if above reasons may be reasons for rejections with said reasons ?
Maybe the photo of your cheque is not clear and form 15G is required when your total PF amount (employee+employer share) is more than 50000 Rs and your service is below 5 yrs, otherwise not required.

Regarding Form 15G, my PF amount is more than Rs.50K and service below 5 yrs. So ideally I need form 15g, else 10% TDS will be deducted.

May be your name was not printed on the cheque, so re submit your claim with a new cheque on which your name is printed or you can also submit bank passbook first-page copy. You can ignore the second reason.

Get a new cheque book or bank passbook from your book, every bank will give it even for salary account also.

Hi there my pf is rejected due to member name not printed on cheque but earlier I have submitted 19 f it was accepted but when I have submitted 10-c and 31-f they have rejected by mentioning that member name is not printed but again how I submit the form and where because at that time only it was not asking any attachment
