PF Reauthorization Form for Incorrect Bank Account Details

EPF members who didn’t get their PF claim amount or advance due to incorrect bank account details need to submit a form called PF reauthorization form to their respective EPF office. If your PF claim settled but money not credited and the reason is the wrong bank a/c number of IFSC then you can use below PF reauthorization form to get the refund of your PF claim amount.

What is PF Reauthorization Form

PF reauthorization form is also known as A.S.R form used to get the refund of unsettled EPF claim amounts. EPF members can submit this form for both offline claims and also for online claims.

How To Fill PF Reauthorization Form

  • Write your regional EPF office address to which you have submitted your EPF withdrawal forms.
  • Under subject mention your EPF account number / UAN number.
  • Now enter your returned EPF amount and also enter the date of claim settlement, you can find these details in EPF claim status portal.
  • Enter the returned EPF amount on fields wherever required.
  • Now enter your correct bank account details such as bank a/c number, IFSC code, bank name ban address.
  • After writing your bank account details now write your personal home address.
  • Now sign the PF reauthorization letter and also take your employer attestation.

How Much Time Will Take For PF Refund After Submitting PF Reauthorization Form

Once you submit PF reauthorization form to your regional EPF office then within 10-15 days you will get the refund of your PF claim amount into your bank account.

Can I Submit PF Reauthorization Form Through Post

Yes, you can submit PF reauthorization form through speed post and remember there is no tracking system to know the status of PF reauthorization form. you have to wait for 10-15 days, if you receive your PF claim amount then it is OK otherwise raise a grievance at PF portal.

Can I Submit Reauthorization Form for Online Claims

Yes, you can submit it. But if you don’t want to visit your PF office then correct your bank account details online at UAN member portal. Once your employer approves your new bank account details then you can again claim your PF amount.

    • That means your pension claim is settled, you can check it in PF passbook portal under claim status.
      If rom 10C shows settled, you don’t need to do anything about it.
      Only you need to reapply for form 19 PF amount.

    My husband expired on last year.
    I applied for form13. I received a SMS from EPFO in 03/0/10/2022. your claim is under process and will be settled shortly. I checked claim states later I get to know that my claim is settled in some other pf account. In form 13 we wrote a wrong passbook number.

  9. SIR, My UAN 100204610909 sent ASR form with related documents to EPFO kandivali on 01/12/2020 through regd post and delivered them on 04/12/2020. After several reminders I got a reply on 23/03/2021 through mail that your documents received and handed over to concerned accounts branch. But now 14 months again elapsed the amounts have not been drawn or no any response received so far. I have also sent mails to ’employeefeedback@epf.gov.in as well as RO Regional Office Kandivali (malad) but in vein. No any customer care numbers also responding . Let me know what to do ?

  11. My pf claim settled but returned back meanwhile time I have corrected my ifcs code and other detail and fill ASR form on 27/ 09/ 2021 till now have not hot my money. I lodge complain on epfigm they responseed to reapply claim as per their guidance i have re applied on 9/12/ 2021
    But my claim got rejected on ground that claim already settled ….But actually it got returned and amount is showing in my of account …Now what should I do? plz guide

    • If you have corrected your bank details on UAN portal, then there is no need to submit the ASR form.
      Now again try to claim your PF online, this time you may get your PF amount.

  12. I have submitted claim request on 22nd Nov 21 & the present status is shown as CLAIM SETTLED. Until today I have not received any SMS nor any amount credited. Earlier I have applied for claim but in 3 to 4 days amount used to get credited but this time it has not. Could you please advise on this issue.

    I’ve submitted for claim and the Claim status is showing as Settled but Returned.
    Then I got to know that I submitted wrong bank details. I’ve done KYC for bank and notified the employer about it,

    So, I need to fill reauthorization letter and submit in PF office or I can raise a claim once again online.

    • Your amount will return within 7-10 days, once it shows in your PF passbook then raise a claim again on the UAN portal.
      (or) you can also submit a PF reauthorization form, but for that, you need to visit your PF office.
      So better apply online.

    I have a concern. My claim status is Settled but Returned. But I could see that money which I tried to claim didn’t return to my EPF account. So I have updated my bank details. Still couldn’t see any difference in the amount. Do I need to submit ASR form. If so how can I submit through online.

    I saw that we need to upload or submit cancelled cheques, my concern is I tore my cheques. I just have photos of the cheque now. What can I do about this. Could you please help me with this.

    • You can upload the photo of the cheque but it should consist your name printed on it.
      Returned PF amount will visible after 7-10 days in your PF passbook.
      In the meantime correct your bank details on the UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them
      After approval and PF return, reapply for the PF.

Hello sir , i had applied my pf in 1/08/21 in 6/08/21 claim settle and got message after 3 working days will credit your claim amount but due to old IFSC code again I was updated 27/08/21 in EPFO portal and it’s approved also. But after approval I had wait till 19/09/21. Again I had submitted reautherzation letter in pf office 21/09/21. So already 3 days gone I didn’t get my claim amount. Please give me a solution what I will do.

    I filled my PF settlement form 19 and 10C on 02.08.2021 and it is settled on 12th and 13th Aug. 2021. I also received a message on my mobile number on 14th Aug ’21 that money will be credited within 3 working days in your bank account. But it is going to be 1 month & 4 days still i am unable to receive my money. Yesterday I called in my PF office they are telling me my pf is returned back but when i am checking online (on my PF account) it is showing settled only. kindly please help. i am unable to understand why my settled PF is returned because i checked all my KYC details they all are correct.

    My PF claim raised on 9th July got returned on 16th as Account number was wrong. But even after one month neither the amount is showing in the passbook , nor the online status is showing as returned only grievance reply is as returned. I fixed the account number online, got it approved from my employer and when i visited the KR puram PF office they asked me to claim again. This claim got rejected with the status that the claim is already settled. In this case what is the recourse i need to take. Online grievance is not replying with correct status , they just reply with raise the request when amount recredited . Or recredit in progress. Does it mean that their is something fishy ?

    • To know the exact status, register a complaint on EPF grievance portal website.
      If your ASR is rejected then solve that problem, and resubmit the ASR or reapply for PF online.

    Mistakenly I had given wrong account number in my PF account. Last time when I applied.. Claim was settled but amount went back to my PF account… I didn’t notice the account number I reclaimed the amount… It got rejected and the reason was claim already settled…. And the status is also same i.e already settled.

    Now I have informed my employer to correct the account details. After correction do I need to apply ASR or directly claim for withdrawal from my PF account.

    • Maybe your ASR form is not signed by your employer, so better reapply for the PF online after correcting your bank details on the UAN portal.

        • Is your bank passbook signed by the bank officer, or in case if you have submitted a cheque then make sure your name is printed on it?
          If everything is fine then register a complaint on the EPF grievance portal website to know the exact reason for rejection.

    • If you have submitted the PF reauthorization form to the PF office then the PF amount will credit into your bank account in 7-10 days.
      You don’t need to reapply & no need to worry about the PF passbook.

        sir i withdrawed my pf amount and after 2 days i got a massage like this please read it, your pf amount is settled within 3 working days your amount well credit to ur account this the massage i got form epfo) and after 3 days the amount didnot credited to my amount and now it has been 1 and half month nearly still my amount didnot credited to my account,.

        • It happens if your bank details are not correct, so pls check them on the UAN portal and correct them if they are wrong.
          After approval of your new bank details by your employer, reapply for PF.

      • Sir I got the msg as settled but returned but the amount is not reflecting back to my passbook. The amount is shown in withdrawal section still it’s not updated it’s been more than a week I got the settled but returned status but it’s not updated in passbook.         • It will reflect but takes some time. But you don’t need to wait for it, correct your bank details on the UAN portal and reapply for the PF.

    • नई चेक बुक मिलने में समय लगता है, इसलिए बैंक पासबुक के लिए आवेदन करना बेहतर है। आप ASR form के साथ बैंक पासबुक जमा कर सकते हैं।

      If you don’t have a bank passbook, then apply for it in your bank, which you can get it on the same day.

    • Reapplying for PF is the convenient way, correct your bank details in UAN Portal and after approval reclaim the PF. In the meantime, your PF amount will reflect in the PF passbook, even though it doesn’t reflect you can reapply for the PF.

  32. I have claimed epf on 22 may 2021 and it settled. But its been more than 4 days pf not credited then i checked pf advance withdrawal form and later i found that ifsc code was wrong. Today is 6th day pf not returned in my epf passbook nor in my account. What to do. I have just made request to change bank account in my UAN.

    • It will take 7-20 days for claim settlement, even though your claim settles but still, you don’t receive your PF amount due to the wrong IFSC date.
      And that PF amount will return to your PF account in another 10 days, in the meantime correct your bank details, and once the amount returns then reapply for the PF.

  36. Same here got an issue with this epfo thing . Kyc update done but i did not recieved any otp to the regestered mobile number and all of my pf has been claim to an unknown bank account .beside there is no epfo office in my place . So i rushed to the police to filed a complain against fraud and advice me to speak to the epfo upline so confused . Whom should i reached . From my point of view pf is not a very good thing . Its better to take a full salary instead of all this trouble . If full salary was given all this thing will not happen . For most i dont trust this epfo again . Savings could be done in our own personal account . Why epfo its a waste of time . To approve it takes time the money keeps on traveling by the time we recieved all the needs are almost done . What good is epfo . Just trouble

    • You can do one thing, correct your bank account details in your UAN member portal and ask your employer to approve them, after their approval you can reclaim your PF amount online in the UAN portal.
      This is the best and easiest way to get your PF amount.

    • As they said correct your bank account details on UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them, after approval reclaim your PF amount.
      You can do this even though the returned PF amount is not showing in your PF passbook.
      Incase if it rejects then raise a complaint on the PF grievance portal website.

    My PF claim was settled but the amount was returned due to wrong bank details. I returned amount is reflecting in the passbook and my bank details are updated in the UAN portal. But I have resubmitted my claim for 3 to 4 times and each time they reject it saying claim already settled whereas the the claim though settled the amount is returned and reflecting in the passbook. PF office is just blindly rejecting the claim.
    What can I do Sir? Please suggest.

    • This time after applying for the claim, Raise a grievance on the EPF portal immediately, so that they will not reject your claim.

    I have claim for PF withdrawal and received an amount in my Bank.
    But there is a mismatch between settled and credited amount.
    Since I am part of “Withdrawal of EPF after 5 years of continuous service” category, there should not be any TDS deduction.

    What could be reason for less credited amount ? How can register complaint for this ?

  41. My recent advance claim settled on 30 dec but the amount is not credited in account,i raised grevience but he said that,” you are requested to reissue performa attested by previous employer with cancelled cheque.”
    My question is:-
    1) So basically he is asking for reauthorization form?, which you describe in this post.
    2) there is timeline given below the upper message, so should i have to submit the form before timeline because i left my recent employer and the admin department is not working from office, i could not get the sign and stamp so what should i do in this situation?
    3) After timeline expire the amount will credited to my Pf passbook?, If yes then i will be able to kyc my other bank account and then apply for the claim settlement.?

    • If your PF is not credited due to wrong bank account details then you have to submit a PF reauthorization form with cancelled cheque. Or you cal also reclaim your PF amount again after correcting bank account details on the UAN portal.
      In both cases, you need to take help of your previous employer.
      Your PF amount will be credited back into your PF account within 7-10 days.

    This is to inform you that i am having UAN NO 100188842833 and pf no GJ/AH/51922/864 Name Kanhyalal Nagendra Khantwal

    I had applied online form no 31 on 13th march 2020 on 19th march2020 received a message of approving the amt 55200 and on 20th march received the message that the amount had been settled for Rs 55200/- and amt will be credited within 3 days working in the bank account.

    In the portal it had been mentioned that claim had been settled and neft done on 19th march 2020.

    I had checked the bank account. There is no credit amt is showing in the bank account.My bank account details one digit was missing now my employer had approved it through portal

    • March 2020 is a long time ago, If your bank account number is wrong then the amount will be returned to your PF account. So pls check it.
      Now correct bank account details on UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them, after approval you can reclaim your PF amount.

    • It will take maximum of 7-10 days, in the meantime submit the PF reauthorization form to your PF office or correct your bank account details on UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them, After approval, you can claim your PF advance again.

    I have submitted by ASR form on 24 Aug 2020 to Gurgaon office my amount was settled but not credited coz of wrong bank details. My employer was is in pune n updated the bank details however it’s more than 20 days I have not received my PF amount yet. There is no source of communication sent many emails but no response called on helpline number but no response I can’t track it. Please suggest what needs to be done when I will get my money back m facing lot of financial problems.

    • The retuned amount will resemble in your PF passbook after some days. But in the meantime, you can reapply for your PF amount, it is not a problem.

    I have applied PF advance on last month July 23rd by choosing COVID-19 option, since the amount was settled on July 27th and the same was not credited in to my account due to account no was not updated correctly in EPFO online portal. Then i have raised a Grievance about this issue to credit my amount again into my PF account along with passbook can be updated as well. But since now, the same amount is not reflected in my Passbook and how do i come to know that amount is credited towards my PF account. Also how can i opt this amount again, could you help to advise on this, kindly reply as this urgent situation for me.

    On the other hand, i have updated the correct account no and got that approved through employer too.

    • Some times it will take some time to update the reflected amount in your PF passbook, as you are saying your new bank account details are updated then it is better to claim your PF amount again on UAN member portal, you don’t need to wait for updation of PF passbook.

Actually i didnt receive that amount exactly while i have applied for the claim again and i received around 18k only where i was expecting 158k which was the amount settled earlier on incorrect account no. However i have chosen option Illness this time since i dont have an option to choose COVID-19 basically this is applicable to choose only once. So considering this, can i raise the same amount by using PF Re-authorization form and avail the amount.

        • The amount of PF advance depends on the reason and EPFO officers will decide it. In general for the illness, you will get 6 months of your basic wage or PF contribution of employer whichever is less.
          For bank account problem you can submit PF reauthorization form or you can also reapply for the PF.

          • While i have re-applied my PF, but still got rejected due to insufficient fund in my PF account. This shows that the amount which i opted earlier is not credited yet in my account.     I have applied advanced PF in last month of APR 2020 but sir my PF settled but amount not credited due to incorrect bank account number (only initial “0”was missing in account number) but I had updated my account number in onlinr UAN portal through employer appoval on dated 02/06/2020 but sir till date amount not credited to account, then I raised grievance in portal to which i was asked to submit reissue form.
    so please give me a solution.

    • If your PF passbook shows your amount then you need to reclaim your PF amount online at the UAN member portal or you need to submit PF reauthorization form to your PF office. Better reclaim your PF amount.

        • It will take 10-15 days to reflect that amount in your PF passbook. If your claim is rejected due to wrong bank account details then submit the reauthorization form or correct your bank account details in UAN portal and reapply for the PF.
          You don’t need to wait for the return of your PF amount in your PF account.

    • It can take upto 20 days for the money to reflect back in ur passbook. And do submit the ASR form so that the refund process can be initiated.

  65. Hello Rajesh, epfo has settled my claim amount and for some resons it shows settled but returned.. And wen i reapplied it said the calim was rejected..

    I have my uan all updated and approved by the employer.. When i try to claim it online it says the pi attribute error and aadhar demographic error something like dat.. Expecting the mobile number is mismatching with epfo and aadhaar i have hpdated the mibile number as well and still it shkws the same error..

      The amount will credit back into your PF account within 15 days, you can check it in your PF passbook. In the meantime create a new bank account and update it in your UAN portal.

    I had submitted the Re-authorization form but the form was rejected for the following reasons
    1. The form was not signed by the employer
    2. The bank account is Joint account
    3. Wrong IFSC code provided

    Is it necessary to have single holder account. I had also submitted a cancelled cheque then how the IFSC code would be wrong.

      The failed amount will again credit back into your PF account, So submit PF reauthorization form to your regional EPF office with correct bank account details or correct your bank account details online at UAN portal and reapply the claim.

    And now as confirmed by my company PF consultant, we need to send re-authorization letter with passbook copy..

    I had applied for pf advance of amount @000 on 11.2.2019. The same got settled on 12.2.2019.Meanwhile i noticed my entered bank details were wrong and immediately i had upgraded my correct bank details. The same got approved by my employer. Again i withdrawed some amount and got credited into my account. But my first withdrawed amount is neither credited into my bank account nor in my pf account. The status of first advance is changed from settled tp settle but returned. I raised grievance in portal to which i was asked to submit reauthorization form.

    Since my bank details are already updated and myself got money in second withdrawal do i really need to submit reauthorization form

      The uncredited PF advance amount will credit back into your PF account within 10-15 days, after that you can again claim it (Or) you can also submit PF reauthorization form along with your bank passbook copy.

    As informed by you, had reapplied for partial withdrawal online before the amount was credited back to EFP and as the claim settled amount was not credited after 1 week also.
    Now reapplied is rejected saying claim already settled. Now do I need to send ASR form and who has sign in employer place and has it to be submitted physically to EPF office or can be couriered.

  102. My name is Ajit, I have applied online for PF transfer from previous employer to current employer. Current employer is trust and in form 13 trust account details are mentioned. EPFO settled my transfer claim but after few days they updated claim status as cheque return back to EPFO.
    Can you please guide me what to do in this case. can I submit reissue performa with current employer’s Trust account details ?

      It is better to submit a grievance at PF portal so that you will know the exact reason form your concerned EPF branch office.

  103. when i claimed my epf then my account no. was wrong on the portal but now i have submit my correct account and my employer pass it. but on the homepage it is showing my wrong account no. and my pf is settled any the amount is not credited in my account.
    what should i do now,

    • Hi Karamveer singh,
      You have to reapply for PF claim again, but before that make sure your employer has approved your new bank account details with their digital signature or not. If they approved then they will appear under the verified section in UAN portal, otherwise, they don’t appear.

    I had applied for partial pf withdrawal online and shows claim settled but amount not credited.
    As per your above comments you have told to reapply if applied online, but in some websites they have posted as it will get rejected if reapplied and have to submit reauthorisation form for online applied also. Kindly please clarify this.

    Also please let know should I wait till the amount is reversed back to EPF and then reapply for withdrawa.

      Yes, you can submit PF reauthorization form for online claims also, but if you don’t want to visit your PF office then you can reapply online at UAN portal. You don’t need to wait for credit back of your PF claim amount into your PF passbook.

      If you have claimed your PF online then correct your bank account details online and reapply for PF after employer approval. If you have claimed it offline then submit PF reauthorization form to your PF office.

    • Hi Priyatosh,
      If your bank account number is wrong then you don’t get your claim amount. Now correct your bank account details at UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them. Once they approve them then the new a/c details will become active, once they become active then again claim your PF amount. The present settled amount will be sent back to your PF account in 7-10 days. But before reapplying make sure your bank account details are corrected or not.

  107. Hi ,, I claimed my PF and the status was showing like money was settled ,but not yet credit to my bank account ,, If I am submitting ASR form to PF office to whom can I get employer signature from my working office who are all having authority to give attestation for employer signature ..

      It depends on your regional EPF office, if you are lucky then they accept it. But if they reject then next time take your employer signature.

    My PF advance against form 31 claim settled and returned. For this to whom I have to send my reauthorization form. Please advise this ASR form is enough for that. and also My name in Bank account is Hanumantha Rao Gorla and in PF account it is Gorla Hanumantha Rao is there any problem.

      You are telling that already your PF claim was settled, so don’t need to change your name, just submit PF reauthorization form to your regional PF office along with a canceled cheque.

    You have to correct your IFSC code before applying for PF claim and, updating is not just enough those bank account details have to be approved by your employer. If you have done all those things then you will get your PF claim amount otherwise you need to reapply again after doing all these.

    I have requested for Online EPF Advance (form 31) but when check also same amount shows debited (withdrawal) into PF account but still not credited in given bank details. when I check then found that Bank a/c no. was correct but IFSC code is of other Branch that’s why it may be possible not to be credited. what will happened now in this case? Amount will be credited return automatically to my PF account? or have I need to do any process? let me know your valuable suggestion what I have to do?

    • Hi Mohasinali,
      Yes, incorrect IFSC code leads to noncredit of PF amount so correct your bank account details in the UAN portal and tell your employer to approve it. Once it approved then you can claim again. (your noncredited PF amount will credit back into your PF account, but it takes 10-15 days.)

      If bank a/c number is wrong then you can’t get your PF amount, If you claimed your PF amount offline then submit PF reauthorization form or if you claimed PF online then correct your bank a/c details and tell your employer to approve them. Once they get approval then claim it again.

My name Sakshi and even after mentioning the correct account details and submitting the online claim, I have still not received my PF amount, what is the use of getting things online when PF office people can’t handle it gracefully. This is heights of irresponsibility and wasting precious time and money of people as your office is in Gurgaon and people live so far, for such petty issue you compel them to come to your office and again resubmit everything. Is this a joke?

    I submitted my claim on 26th June 2018, since then I am seeing the status claim settled for UAN – 100982824167. It says payment was sent through NEFT 11th July 2018. I have checked several times with my previous office and on UAN portal as well the account number I mentioned and approved by PF staff is correct. I have all the screenshots to prove it. Also, I live too far from Gurgaon in Delhi, it takes 1.5 hours to travel one side to reach Gurgaon, even more, depending on traffic. Do you people think there is no value for other people’s time and money? For such small issues, a person has to invest almost the whole day and then you want them to reclaim and again get it authorized by the employer. Your complaints should reach PMO office I guess and even above on higher levels as when we call, no one answers, when we email, no one answers, even I logged a complaint in the grievance. its been more than 2 months I am still waiting for my claim amount. This is highly irresponsible and a waste of time and money. If manual things to be done again then what is the use of online claim? Are you sure your staff is capable of typing correct account numbers and details for the claims (if applicable) and not just imposing later on us that we mentioned details incorrectly? Everything is correct in my case…may I know now why for this issue I have to come to PF office? as this is heights of such delays. Also, I have not received even a single message on phone or email about status or credit of payment etc.

  114. Am working in Coimbatore branch organization. But My PF account was in Delhi. I have applied withdrawal via online. After EPF amount settlement my amount was return by Bank because some issue. Can I send ASR form via post? or can I Submit ASR form in Coimbatore Branch?

      You have to submit ASR form to Delhi PF office either through courier or by hand. You can also do one thing correct your bank account details online and tell your employer to approve them and claim PF amount again in online.
