Earlier employees need to login to UAN member portal with their UAN number and password to download EPF pass book. So every employee used to do provident fund balance enquiry in UAN portal. But recently employee provident fund organization has launched a new platform to download EPF passbook with UAN number and UAN portal password.

Once employee login to the member passbook portal then employee needs to enter uan number and password, but before  that employees must activate uan number at UAN portal. For that they have to link their mobile number with their UAN number. Once they activates their UAN number they have to set up a password to UAN portal. After login to member UAN  portal click on download passbook. Once you click on download passbook link after 48 hours your passbook will be available for download @ Download EPF Member Passbook

    facing a query regarding finding UAN

    one of the old employee joined in 2008 and left company in Mar 2013,
    now for pf withdrawal i need to write UAN number . so is it UAN number available for such employee?

    if yes then how to find that ?
    and if no then without UAN number PF /EPS can be withdraw or not?

    I dont have UAN number but i have submitted pf form by using pf number through my employer now how can i check pf balance using by pf number.

  4. Hello sir,

    one of employee dont using mobile number which is registered at his UAN emp portal, and neither he has login id generated nor he has that mobilen umber available, now i want to generate his login id , but OTP is going on that previous number.

    now can u please help me how to change mobile number in that case so that i can have a passbook on display?

    • Hi Imran,
      Click on forgot password in uan member portal, now enter uan number and captcha, now the screen will show your previous mobile number.
      Here you need to click no and enter details like name, date of birth and click on verify. After that enter PAN card number or Aadhar number and again click on verify. Now you can add new mobile number to which you want to get temporary password.

      • i have tried the same procedure, but at the time of adhar card input, inspite of the same name in pf and aadhar card, its saying name doesn’t match.

        is there any other way , like to visit pf office and they can do the same changes?

        • Hi Imran,
          You can raise a grievance in employer or employee grievance portal about this issue. Once you raise grievance then one of the EPFO official will contact you about this issue. Grievance portal link http://epfigms.gov.in/
