How to write an Immediate Termination Letter

  1. Date & Place: Date is very important when you are writing any formal letter, so start the termination letter by mentioning the date on which you are issuing the letter to the employee. Write the date and place on the top right side of the letter.
  2. Subject: You can put the subject line as a “termination letter”.
  3. Salutation: Start the letter with salutation like Dear Mr./Ms. _________(Employee name).
  4. Effective date: Mention the date from which the the employees get terminated. 
  5. Reason for termination: Mention the reason behind the termination of the employee.
  6. Handing over company properties: Ask the terminated employee to return all the company belongings.
