Unable to Process OTP Request in EPF: What to Do ?

Due to heavy traffic on the PF website and some time due to server issues EPF members may not receive the OTP while transferring their PF amount or while submitting PF claim forms like form 19, 10C, and 31. The same message will also be seen as a failure to send OTP while transferring PF.

If you are also facing a problem with unable to process OTP requests in PF then the simple solution is,  wait for some time, at least for 1-2 minutes and click on resend OTP. Now fresh OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number and enter that OTP and verify your claim request.

The second option is logout from your UAN member portal and again login with your UAN and password and start applying for PF again.

In most cases the above two solutions will solve your problem, still, if you are getting the problem then raise a grievance at the PF portal.

To Which Mobile Number OTP will be Sent to in PF

The OTP will be sent to the Aadhare registered mobile number of the employee. i.e OTP will be sent to the mobile number which is linked to your Aadhar card.

What to do If EPF Member Doesn’t Have Aadhar Registered Mobile Number?

If your mobile number is not linked to your Aadhar card then you need to link it at any of your nearest Aadhar enrollment centers. Without Aadhar registered mobile number it is not possible to claim your PF amount online.

    what the hell this site is…. too much persons are attached with epfo and our so called government is taking bribe nd bribe nd bribe…… overall system is destroyed , if someone need his own money at his hard time, these govt websites not worked, even no any helpline or complaint number they have,

    why private companies are growing in India, bcoz they have systems, they have parameters and our govt has not even “S” in the name of systems…….

  2. Not getting OTP on registered Mobile no. after filling online form 10D for pension. Is this a scam not to pay pensioners. I have been trying for last one month but there is no result.

  3. I have not received OTP on my registered mobile number when I transfer my old pf to new.
    Many times create grievance and call to epfo office , but every time not getting right solution.

  4. Looks like this is a scam. Government apps are so useful or i dont know if they intentionally make it useless. Why can’t we get OTP and get our own money back when in need.

    epf india sms one time password: 4426 otp-id: 9717
    instead of just opt. tried several times, same result

  6. I have tried for many days and many times a day. I am unable to withdraw PF due to OTP issue.
    I have raised many time transfer request also trying since a year. but not able to transfer,
    Raised Grievance, contacted previous employer, contacted the respective person on Mobile and through email as well. The person name Ganesh and the call tele operator Ladies from mumbai no one is doing anything. They are just throwing me to one – another.
    Really the EPF should not be there , they are not giving are own money to us.

  7. I am trying to get OTP since 1month, i would have every day atleast once. No use, entire OTP sending service is not working. Where are authorities ? Can some one look into it please.

    • Hi,

      I faced the same problem, I solved via two steps. First step is de-activate DND on you number ,if DND service is active you may not get this message.Second step is try in early morning hours as severs are re-booting every night. Hence servers may not be having heavy load .
