Annexure K is an EPF document issued to the EPF members whenever they transfer their PF amount from exempted to the unexempted establishment (or) unexempted to the exempted establishment.
Annexure K consists of the previous establishment’s PF account details such as PF member ID, UAN number, and PF amount details.

How Annexure Looks Like
Use of Annexure K in PF
Annexure K is a documentary proof that consists of how much PF amount was transferred in between exempted to unexempted establishments and vice versa.
Earlier EPF members used to apply for PF transfers offline, at that time the new employer used to ask the EPF member to submit annexure K.
But now EPF amounts are transferring online, so at present, there is not much use of annexure K.
But there are some times when you transfer your PF amount from unexempted establishment (normal establishment) to exempted establishment (PF trust), then the new employer i.e exempted one will ask you to submit the annexure K.
If you transfer PF from exempted to the unexempted establishment, then there is no need to submit Annexure K to anyone. But you can download your annexure K online on the UAN portal and you can also check transferred PF amount on your PF passbook.
How can I get Annexure K in PF
If you have applied for PF transfer from exempted to un exempted establishment then you can download your annexure K PDF format on your UAN member portal.
If you are transferring your PF from unexempted to exempted establishment then you can get annexure by raising a request on EPF grievance portal or your new employer can also download it from their employer PF portal.
How to Download Annexure K PDF by Employee
You can download your PF annexure K online, whenever you have transferred the PF amount from exempted to the unexempted establishment.
Step 1: Go to the UAN member portal and login with your UAN and password.
Step 2: Now go to online services on menu bar and click on download Annexure K.
Step 3: If your PF was already transferred from exempted to unexempted then you can find an option to download your Annexure K.
Click on download symbol and your PF Annexure K will be downloaded in PDF format.
How to get Annexure K from EPF Grievance Portal
If you have transferred your PF amount from unexempted (normal establishment) to exempted (trust) then you have to raise a request on the PF grievance portal to get your annexure K.
Step 1: Go to the EPF grievance portal and select status as PF member & login by using your UAN number and OTP.
Step 2: Now select your gender, enter your address, email id and other required details.
Step 3: Now under grievance details click on your previous PF account number (unexempted establishment).
Step 4: Now a popup window will open, there select grievance related to as PF office and select grievance category as non-transfer of PF accumulations (Even though it was transferred), and in grievance description, type this message.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have applied for PF transfer from ___________(preveous company name) to _______________(new company name).
Hence my present employer is exempted establishment they are asking me to submit my annexure K, so kindly provide my annexure K associated with PF member ID ________________(Mention your previous company PF account number).
Thanking you.

Step 4: After typing the description click on add, and there is no need to add any attachments and finally submit your request.
Once you submit the request then within 1 or 2 days EPFO will send your annexure K to your email id, which you can submit it your new employer.

How to know my establishment is exempted or unexempted ?
Go to EPF establishment search portal and enter the name of your company and type the captcha and click on submit. ( No need to enter establishment code)
Now click on view details and under establishment status you can know whether that establishment is exempted or not.
How to withdraw PF from exempted establishment?
To withdraw PF from exempted establishments visit your HR department and they will give you PF withdrawal forms.
Fill those forms and submit them to your HR department, then they will process your PF claim (or) some companies provide an online PF withdrawal facility on their company website.
You cannot withdraw PF from exempted establishment on UAN member portal.
Why my Annexure K is not showing pension contribution?
In PF transfer pension amount will transfer, but the amount doesn’t visible in PF passbook and annexure K.
And remember even though your establishment is exempted but still pension contribution will be credited to the Employee provident fund organization, so you don’t need to worry about your pension contribution.
You can withdraw whenever you leave your job if your total service is below 10 yrs.

I am retired from Deepak nitrate ltd.(before that i was working in Amar dye Chem) for 9 years . Later on this company got closed and in 1997 I withdrawed pf and pention contribution. Now after being retired for 1:5 year also I haven’t got my family pension due to not having annexure k copy.I have asked it through mails messages calls on pf office thane but they never give response. I want my annexure certification urgently so that I can submit it to pf office Vadodara and my pension will get started please guide me .
You can get annexure K by registering a complaint on the EPF grievance portal website.

I am also facing same issue.. Did you find the solution to download the Annexure-k document?
Alteebatively, download UMANG app or access UMANG website in PC and visit EPFO page. Then, enter your PF login details and your grievance reference number to see the document to download.
In EPFO – grievance page i cant able to download Ann K. But Its working in UMANG app. I can able to download my annexure K from this APP.

My previous and current both organization are unexempted establishment (Both PF account are with EPF, no trust).
I raised the online transfer request and claim status shows Settled on 2nd September 2021. “Your Claim (Claim Id – GNGGNXXXXXX ) has been Settled on 02 SEP 2021. Amount and Service transferred to : PYBOMXXXXXXXXXX”
My previous PF Passbook also shows that amount is transferred and balance is zero. However, there is no amount transferred in my current PF account & its over two months since claim status shows settled.
My current organization PF consultant says to raise Grievance for getting Annexure-K. They say that if the settled amount is not updated in present account then Annexure-K is required to check with PF department. Is it right? since I am not sure if Annexure-K will be available in my case since transfer is from Unexempted to Unexempted estd.
As your PF consultant said it is better to register a complaint on EPF grievance portal to know what happened to your transferred PF amount.

I had raised a grievance related to the annexure K (from unexempted to exempted) 2 weeks back.
I got a reply today. In that they mentioned this remark – “Please submit request mail through authorized email id of establishment to ro.kandivali@epfindia.gov.in for further necessary action.”
My current establishment has already sent a request by post mail along with my Transfer Claim Form 13 (revised) to the Regional PF Commissioner 2 months back.
And today I have replied this same info back to the grievance portal remarks section.
Now the current status is showing as “CASE ESCALATED TO HIGHER OFFICE”.
Please advice any further action.

Send a reminder on the grievance portal, or register a new grievance or visit your PF office directly.
Easiest way is to raise an RTI (https://rtionline.gov.in/) => You will have to pay INR10.
In the “Search Public Authority” – type EPFO and data will be filled in.
Rest add other personal details and then describe the issue (or requested information) in “Text for RTI Request application” field => Mention your UAN number or PF number for which you want Annexure K.

If you are transferring PF from an unexempted establishment (companies where PF is maintained by EPFO) to exempted establishments (have their own PF trust), then request annexure K on the EPF grievance portal website.

Right everyone is facing the same problem in the PF grievance portal, soon they will solve it, after that you can request annexure K.
You can request annexure K directly in your PF office also.

If you registered a complaint on the EPF grievance portal they will respond in 2-3 working days. If they don’t respond then send a reminder on the grievance portal.

i am in processing of my PF transfer from PF office to trust.
Even after 45 days of grievance registration, i didnt receive annexure K sofar.
EPFO has also closed my grievance as closed disposed of.
My trust is again asking me to submit annexure K.
What should i now on this case
Register a new complaint, if they don’t respond within 2-3 days then send a reminder and wait for another 2-3 days.
If still there is no response then better visit your PF office directly.

Its almost 5 days completed from the day i initiated the request. But still amount not received to current amount.

Register a complaint on the EPF grievance website, they will tell you the exact status of your transfer claim.

Annexure k is provided by PF office or employer? If PF office then Raising Grievance is enough with concerned PF office or any separate application need to submit?
If your previous employer is exempted establishment (trust) then your employer will give you the annexure K.
If your previous company is under normal PF then you can get annexure K on the PF grievance portal, no need to submit any application.

Sir, I served July 2013 to Oct 20 in unexempted company, fund managed by EPFO, again I worked from 04th Jan 2020 to 03rd Jan 2021 with exempted ( Trust) company. I want applied for pf transfer on line but massage flash ” Your company has not deposited amount to your PF account” mean EPS amount not deposited to EPO.
Also my previous company details are not appearing on portal.
Please guide in this matter what is best way to draw the pf amount.
