What is Pending at DA Account Means in EPF

In EPF DA means Dealing Assistant, he is the first person who will check your PF claim when you apply for it. Once DA approves your PF claim then your claim will be sent to the AO (Accounts Officer), after approval of AO, your claim will be sent to CO ( Cash Officer). Cash officer deposits your EPF claim amount into your bank account through NEFT.

Pending at DA Account Means in EPF

Once your claim is approved by the dealing assistant (DA) then the chances of your claim rejection are very low. So if your claim status is showing as pending at DA then don’t worry soon your PF amount will be credited to your bank account.

What if DA (Dealing Assistant) rejects PF claim

If your claim is rejected by the DA then your claim status will be changed to rejected, and the reason for rejection will be mention in the PF claim status portal. Based on the reason of rejection you need to rectify and need to proceed further.

Here are some reasons for rejection of your claim by DA

  • Mismatch of your details on the PF account and bank passbook or cheque.
  • If the name is not printed on uploaded cheque.
  • If PAN and form 15g not submitted for eligible cases.

Other reasons where DA approves your claim but claim don’t settle

As I said earlier there are very few chances to reject PF claims once approved by DA. But if you have provided inoperative bank account numbers then your claim amount will not reach the bank account and the amount will be returned to your PF account, in that case, your claim status will be changed to claim settled but returned.

In that case, correct your bank account details at the UAN member portal and after approval of your employer reclaim your PF amount.

    Sir it has been 3 weeks since I submitted for full pf claim but the status is still under “Pending at DA ACCOUNT” How long will it take for Dealing assistant approval?

  2. Sir maine hamare company ke one employee ke pf withdraw ke liye apply kare tho woh reject hogaya. reject reason yeh diya hai ki father name not updated hai balki father name already updated hai. phir maine second time withdraw ke liye apply kare tho same reason se reject hua.
    next kya karna please guide kijiye sir.

    • If his father’s name is appearing in his UAN member portal then only it updated, so pls check it.
      And also whether you approved his father’s name in the approval section of the employer PF portal.
      Still, if you have a problem then better raise a grievance at the PF portal.

  3. Sir I applied for PF withdrawal on 13th mar 2020 but still it is showing pending in DA account.. when it process … It’s urgent need of money in this critical situation… kindly do the needful…

  4. Sir I have submitted my 19 and 10c form on 13 th March 2020 for final pf settlement and it has been more than 2 month and the status is still under process and in Umang app it is showing pending at DA account. really need the money due to lock down.. Please help

    • Sir I already raise a grievance at PF portal before 4 days ago but still no any response

      I have submitted my Full EPF Withdraw request on 26/03/2020

      But it’s showing. Pending at DA Account

  5. Sir I have submitted my 19 and 10c form on 22nd Feb 2020 for final pf settlement and it has been more than 2 month and the status is still under process and in Umang app it is showing pending at da and ao/co/ac. I really need the money due to lock down.. Please help

  6. Sir I am waiting for my pf but after 2 weeks still not getting and pending at DA account s.Due to urgent requirement because of my madam under medical treatment for pragnency. Under this condition I am lots of tension about shortage of money.please kindly resolve my problem as quick as I shall grateful to you.

  7. Sir, I am an employee & I want to withdraw advance EPF amount under Covid-19. KYC is done. But there is change in Bank IFSC code. Can I change bank IFSC code. IF I change bank IFSC code in my KYC is digital approval of employer required?As It is lockdown now digital approval not possible. If I attach, scan copy of cheque leaf wherein correct IFSC code is mentioned, will the amount get credited or will it get returned or what action will i have to take? Rest all bank details in KYC are correct. Such as bank name, bank account number etc. Pls. Suggest

    • You have to update your bank account details in UAN member and after your employer approval only it is better to claim your PF amount. Because a small difference in IFSC codes also leads to the noncredit of your PF amount into your bank account.
