Recently EPF members are facing this problem on the UAN member portal from 07 Aug 2020, when they want to apply for PF withdrawal online. Even though their bank account details are linked to their PF accounts and digitally approved by their employer still they are getting a message of “Your bank KYC is not digitally signed by the employer, cannot proceed” while using PF online services.

Recent Update as on 19 Aug 2020: As EPFO said the problem will be resolved after 18th Aug 2020, now most of the EPF members are not getting this error. Still, if you are getting this error then follow the below process to solve your bank KYC problem in EPF portal.

How to Solve this Problem (100% Working Solution)
As EPFO said the problem was resolved for most of the EPF members from 18 August 2020, but still there are some EPF members who are facing this bank KYC problem, for them, the solution is re-updating bank account details on UAN member portal. Here is the step by step process to solve your bank KYC is not digitally signed by employer problem.
Step 1:- Go to UAN member portal and login with your UAN number and password.
Step 2:- After login go to menu option and select Manage -> KYC option.
Step 3:- Now tick the bank option and enter your bank account details like your name, bank account number and IFSC code correctly and click on save.
Step 4:– Now your bank account details will appear on KYC pending for approval section.
Step 5:- Now your employer can see the pending bank KYC request in their employer PF portal. Once they approve it with their digital signature then your new bank account details will become active.
Step 6:- After the approval of your employer your bank account details will visible under digitally approved KYC section
Step 7:- Now go to online services in menu and click on online services ->> claim form 31, 19, 10 C & 10 D. Now you don’t see the error and you will redirect to PF claim page.
If you need any support during the above process then you can contact EPFO customer by calling their toll free number ✆ 18001118005 (or) at EPF grievance portal.
What Does It Mean: Your Bank KYC is Not Digitally Signed by Employer, Cannot Proceed in EPF
The meaning of the above message is your bank account details are not approved by your employer with their digital signature, so you should ask your employer to approve them with their digital signature.
Why EPF Members are Getting This Error
The reason for getting this error on the UAN member portal is, EPFO is trying to migrate their websites to the new system. it may be new web hosting or a new web platform (which was not clearly mentioned). Due to this migration process, EPF members may face this problem temporarily. Once the migration process completes then this problem will be solved.
Conclusion
EPFO is trying to make some changes to their websites to improve their online service, as they have already told that this activity was completed on 18th Aug 2020. Still, if you are facing this problem then it is better to reupdate your bank account details and ask your employer to approve them, that is the only solution right now to solve this PF bank KYC problem.

Yes, you can withdraw PF advance.
You don’t need to link your Aadhar and bank details every time when you join a new job.

If the person resigned & moved out of company, but still the KYC digital error is not approved by employer. Will the last employer still have access to digitally sign the Bank KYC ?
Please clarify
Best Regards

Your bank KYC is not digitally signed by employer, cannot proceed.
I’m getting this error message.
How to resolve the issue.
Pls suggest me
Your bank details should be approved by your company in their company PF portal, so ask them to approve your bank details.
(For SBI bank accounts, employer approval is not required, for other banks, it is required).
I have an SBI bank account but still getting the error.
The employer is not responding to my emails, what could I do.
Sometimes it will take a maximum of 7 days.
If it doesn’t get approved automatically then register a complaint on EPF grievance portal website.
Hi Rajesh, my issue is kind of weird. I had updated SBI bank details in my EPF portal. Initially it was pending for verification but after few days the status changed to pending with employer for digital Signing. I checked with my employer and they don’t see my kyc entry. What should I do? Like you said for SBI it should be the bank who approves.
It takes a maximum of 7 days to get SBI accounts approved without the employer’s intervention.
If it delays more than 7 days, register a complaint on the EPF grievance portal.
Hi Rajesh. Thank you for your response. Yes, I did raise a grievance after 7 days. This is what the response I got from them. “EPFO office has no role in approval of Bank KYC”
