Have you entered wrong bank account details in UAN member portal and don’t you know how to delete incorrect bank account number and IFSC code in UAN portal then read this completely.
When you enter incorrect bank account details then you don’t get your PF claim amount. Even though PF claim settles but your amount again sent back to the PF fund within 2-3 days.
In that case, you need to correct your bank account details and you need to apply for PF again (or) you need to take a PF reauthorization letter from your PF office and fill and submit it again to the PF office.
How To Change / Update Approved Bank Account On The UAN Portal:
There is no separate process to change already approved bank account details on UAN portal, you need to update your new bank account details again and tell your employer to approve them.
Once your employer approves your new bank account details with their digital signature or e – sign then your old incorrect bank account details will get deactivated and new bank account details will get activated.
So next time, when you apply for PF then the PF portal will consider your new approved bank account details automatically and claim amount will be sent to the new bank account number.
How to Update Bank Account Details in UAN Portal
- Login to UAN member portal with your UAN and password
- Now go to manage option in the menu bar, and select KYC from the drop-down menu.
- Now tick on bank account number and enter your correct bank a/c number, name as on bank account and IFSC code of the bank and click on save.
- Now inform your employer that you have updated new bank account number in UAN portal. (Generally, you don’t need to inform your employer when they are active in updating KYC details. But in most cases, employers don’t take it seriously, so it is better to inform them)
- Once your employer approves your bank account number then you can claim for your PF amount and PF will be credited into the new bank account within 10-15 days.
How Much Time it Will Take to Update bank Details in EPF
Your bank account details can be updated within minutes. Whenever your update new bank account details in the UAN member portal, then your employer will immediately receive that message in their employer PF portal. There they have to approve it with their digital signature.
So you don’t need to wait for days to update your bank account details. Whenever you change your bank details in the UAN portal then inform your employer either directly or through email, to approve them, then they will approve your request. After approving your bank account details you can claim your PF amount without any problem.

If your uploaded cheque or bank passbook consists correct a/c number then your will receive your PF amount, otherwise it will be returned to your PF account.
Yes the bank passbook which I uploaded has correct account number but in kyc the starting 0 is missing in acct Number will that not be a problem? And also how many days it takes if money returns to pf acct and when can we re apply for claim?
Maybe it is not a problem, In case of any problem It will return in 4-5 days from the date of claim settlement.

It will take 1-3 days to receive the PF amount into your bank account, still, if you don’t receive it then check whether your bank details correct or not on the UAN member portal.

I appplied for PF full settlement – My Total amount does not exceed 50000 and my service is less than 5 years. My aadhar is approved by my employer and verified by UIDAI, however though my PAN is only approved by my employer(not digitally verified by IDT). My bank account and IFSC are all correct but still EPFO rejected my claim. Do you think my PAN needs to be verified by IDT since my employment service is less than 5 years? If yes is there a way I can verify the PAN, currently in the EPFO portal there is no way I can verify my PAN since the verify button is not visible for me.

Current your bank account details in UAN member portal and ask your employer to approve them, after approval reclaim your PF amount again.

As i know my bank details are wrong so my claim get rejected. This i know through my status of complaint which i registered in EPFO grievance portal. So in this case how can i get my money back. What is the solution in this situation.

Your uncredited PF amount will again credit back into your PF account, after correcting and approval of your bank account details by your employer you can reclaim your PF. (You can check recredited PF amount in your PF passbook within 10-15 days)

I checked my bank details and found that a 0 was missing at the start of my account number but during filing my claim I have attached the scan copy of my Bank cheque. will the amount be credited based on the cheque details or should I correct the bank details in the UAN portal

I changed the IFSC code to reflect the correct one in the online portal as suggested above. My employer claims he has approved the request and that only the pf office has to do their work in approving it also. Is this the case in bank account details approval? Because according to you and the above procedure, once the employer approves, then the claim form should be open for further process. But it still says that the approval from the employer is pending. kindly advice. Thanks.

There is no need for PF office approval for bank account details, I don’t know whey your employer is saying like that. Do one thing, give your new bank account details to your employer and ask them to update in their employer PF portal. It is simple process, can be completed in less than 2 minutes.

If your bank account details are correct then sure you have to get it within 3 days, so better again check your bank a/c number and IFSC code in UAN portal. If they are correct then raise a grievance at PF portal.

If your employer is running their business then you have to take their signature only for offline claims or if your UAN is linked with KYC like Aadhar, PAN and bank account details then you can withdraw your claim online. For that, your employer needs to update your date of exit in their PF portal.

The uncredited PF claim amount will again send back to your PF account within 15 days. Even after 15 days also if your PF amount not recredited in your PF account then raise a grievance at PF portal.
