If your PF claim is rejected by showing the reason as “Photocopy of bank passbook not attested by the Authorized signatory” then it means your bank passbook doesn’t have the stamp of the bank and bank officer signature.
(Or) some times if the details on your bank passbook and PF details don’t match then also you will get the above message. Like mis match of name spellings, difference in account number or IFSC code etc.
Bank passbooks will act as valid proofs only when the bank stamp and signature will present on the affixed photo of the account holder.
So if your passbook doesn’t consist of the stamp and signature of the bank then your PF claim will be rejected by showing the above message.
Solution
Visit your bank’s branch along with your bank passbook and ask the bank officer to put a stamp and sign on it. Once it is done then you can reclaim the PF amount by uploading the new image of your bank passbook.
Now your PF claim will not be rejected by the EPFO.

Hi guys if you are facing issues with PF withdrawal claim. Please follow the below steps:
1) Attach passbook copy first page with bank manager stamp and signature.
2) Account has to be individual. Joint accounts would be rejected.
3) If you have a joint account, then go to kyc and update the account details. You have to open up a new savings account, upload the details in kyc and then attach the cheque/passbook duly signed and stamped by the bank manager. Thank you.

Maybe your bank passbook doesn’t have the signature of the bank staff.
Bank’s stamp and signature are required on the passbook.
If account no.is correct ifsc code is correct then why is it need to require signature with stamp in private banks like punjab and sind bank as we r already getting the services provided by mentioned banks .ATM is also working. so y they asked for stamps and signatures as we already using the services from last 3 years.

I don’t think this is a valid answer this means the workers are not giving attention which claim to approve and which to reject..I hope some good answers should come and EPFO should ease the process of claim there are behaving like we are applying for visa for USA it is our money and when we need it urgently this stupid answers they paste that this Is not proper etc etc this should not be the case..even after giving all details correctly the claim gets reject one should understand if they are claiming for PF money then it is something necessary or urgency they take thier relaxing time just to reject the claim with reasons that if we also read then we get shock…really unreliable…please it is a big request to all of you who can see this message and also to EPFO employees please raise a concern to ease the process of Epfo claim so one can be assure that his or her claim will definitely get approved..dont play with humans feelings…and if want to reject reject in 1 or 2 days only don’t give hope to peoples who are waiting for their money desperately..I hope this much b fine..
This same has happened with me, what is the use of that money which you can’t use when you need the most, atleast if they are gonna reject it, they should do it in 1-2 days why to make someone wait for nearly a whole month just to see pf claim getting rejected, it’s the second time it has happened with me, the bank personnels are also not educated about this, they give silly response like, ohh sir, signature is not needed our stamp is enough, and then my passbook getting rejected for not having bank passbook attested, the bank has to provide just a signature, they have the feeling of a prime minister, like they will not sign it for anybody for no reason, how stupid of it, this is the second time i will be visiting my bank for signature after getting my pf rejected 😤😤😤😤😤😤

Your photo on your bank passbook should consist of the bank stamp and signature.
Can I claim the PF if i have a joint account with my mother. My passbook mentions that i am a joint account holder along with mom. Any solution if this is not possible? my cheque leaf too has both mine and moms name on it..
EPFO doesn’t accept join accounts. You have to create a new individual bank account.

Maybe the bank stamp or signature is not present on your passbook, so pls check it.

Some times wrong reasons will be updated in in claim staus, so better register a complaint on EPF grievance portal, then you will know the exact reason of rejection in 1 or 2 days.

But it has been stamped by the Manager and he has signed it too. Its clearly visible on the page. Why did it still get rejected? Could it be because the document is in Grayscale instead of Color?
Yes, it may be due to that reason. Upload a normal coloured image, in the next attempt.

No, you should get a passbook or chequebook from your bank. You can get your passbook on same days, just take your passport size photo to the bank and request them to provide the passbook.
