No Record Found In PF Claim Status – What To Do Now ?

If your PF claim status is showing as “No record found” then it has 2 reasons. One is your PF claim forms are not reached to your PF office and second reason is technical problem with EPF website. If you find your claim status earlier and if it is not showing now then it is due to the technical problem with EPF website. It is very common problem, and you don’t need to worry, within One or Two days your claim status willbe updated again.

If Your Claim Status is Not Updated Even Once after 7 Days from the Date of Submission of your PF claim Forms then Read This:

Employees who claim their PF amount which may be PF, pension or PF transfer can check the claim status at EPF claim status portal. Generally, the status of an EPF claim application or transfer application will be updated within 2-3 days for online claims and for offline claims it will take maximum 1 week.

No Record Found Or No Claim Found For This Member ID In PF Claim Status

But for some EPF members even after 1 week also the claim status will not be updated and they get a message that “no record found in PF claim status”. Generally, the time taken for the status update in PF portal will be based on the working speed of your regional EPF office employees.

If they process your PF claim forms in a fast manner then your claim status will update immediately, but if they don’t do that then it will take some time. In the mean time you can see ” No Record Found or No Claim Found for This Member ID” message while checking your PF claim status.

So if your PF claim status is still showing no records found even after 7 days then you have to know the exact reason behind that. For this you need to raise a grievance at PF portal then within One or Two days, you will get a reply from your regional EPF office.

At present raising grievance or contacting your regional EPF office is the only options to know the reasons behind no record found in PF claim status problem.

But remember before raising a grievance in PF portal you have to check whether your PF application forms have reached your PF regional office or not. Because in some cases EPF members who send those claim forms through courier may not reach their PF office, in that case, their claim status will not be updated.

  1. Hi, I have submitted claim for pf transfer , accepted by employer on 4.11.2021 , pending at field office, but it’s still saying no online claim record found. What should I do?

    • If it is showing as “pending at field office” on the UAN portal then there is no need to worry.
      It will be approved within 1 or 2 weeks.

  2. Hello sir, my pre claim column shows another member id, as the money which I want is under different member id. There are two member ids under my unified account number, what should I do to apply for claim of another member id of 2019 year? The one showing now is for 2020. Please help

    • You have to transfer your PF from your old PF member id to the latest PF member id, after transfer you can withdraw PF from your latest member id.

    As you have helped me with your expertise, one of my friends is also facing an issue and she needs your help. she submitted her claim on 25th September and it’s still showing ” online claim submitted at portal’. How long will it take till i get my claim? There is no mention as to when the file was sent to submitted at the field office as that column is still empty. Kindly help her out and let her know what to do? Should she wait?

  7. Whatever happened with Surajit kar, happened with me as well. I applied for the claim on 20th august but now it says no records found, which is very confusing. my friends are getting their PF settled in 3 days and my process has already took 9 days now. what is the required protocol as everything as done right by my side? pls reply

      The maximum time taken for online PF settlements is 30 days. For some EPF members, it will complete within 3 days also. So don’t worry soon you will get your PF claim amount.

  8. I have applied for online withdrawal of my PF/Pension on 23-Aug-19. Till yesterday evening it was reflecting as “Under Process” under “Online Services ->TRack Claim Status”. On checking today, it is reflecting as “Claim Record Not Found”. I then checked my passbook in the portal where it is reflecting as “Under Process”. Can you please help as this is confusing

I can see my present member id but I can’t see my previous company member id jus previous company l resind already but I can’t see my previous company member Id what to do.     The piece of information is really much needed and helpful. I am basically sailing in the same boat. I raised my claim after contacted EPFO Chennai-2 and they asked me to send Form 10c and 19 for the final settlement of the account, since the company I was working with went bankrupt.
    I couriered the claim forma via Blue Dart and same was delivered at the address given by EPFO Chennai-2 officials, but it’s almost 13 days there is no development seen in this regard and still shows NO CLAIM FOUND FOR THIS PF NUMBER.
    What shall I do? Please suggest.

      Have you taken your employer attestation on PF form 19 and 10C? if there is no attestation then EPFO may reject your claim.

  11. Sir, its been 25 days my pf settlement form is reached at the epfo regional office but showing as no claim found for this member id. I had sent via speed post. Can I send someone to hand deliver the form in the office?
