If your PF claim is rejected due to the following message that “AS PER MULTIPLE PAYMENT MEMBER SERVICE IS OVERLAPPING ON THE OTHER ESTT” then it means that your date of exit or date of joining is wrongly entered either in the previous company of yours or in present company. Some time new employers update your new date of joining before your exit date in your previous company.
For example, you have worked in a company from 1 Jan 2020 to 30 Jun 2020 and joined another company on 1 July 2020. So your new date of joining a new company is 1 July 2020.
But if the new employer adds your date of joining as 1Jun 2020 then your claim will be rejected for the above reason. At the same, if the old employer updates your date of exit by mistakenly as 30 July 2020 then also your claim will be rejected.
The Solution for this problem is you have to correct the wrong date of joining or wrong date of exit because EPFO doesn’t allow you to contribute for the EPF from Two companies at the same time.
(Recently EPFO added an option to update the date of exit of employees themselves in the UAN member portal without the help of the employer, so some times EPF members are mistakenly updating their date of exit.)
You cannot correct your date of exit or date of joining online, you need to submit PF joint declaration form to your regional EPF office to correct your details, after correction you can reclaim your PF amount.

Hii Vikram, the same issue happened with me as well. Today only it got rejected by field officer as my first employer DOE is overlapping with the 2nd employer DOJ and I have already transferred my 1st employer PF to 2nd Employer account now when I am trying to transfer 2nd Employer pf account to 4th employer account it is getting rejected. I have sent a mail to my 1st employer to correct the DOE. Let’s see what they reply with. Once I get a proper resolution I will let you know

Can anyone please guide me. I ha e an overlapping issue in my organization. I joined a company but left it because I didn’t like their policy for covid they were calling office after very first lockdown and in the mean time I got an offer from an MNC so I joined them. So my exit date of previous company is 01-May-2020 and my current joining date is 30-Apr-2020. Two days overlap. So can anyone please guide me how to get this correct as my previous employer will not coordinate on this matter.
You need to transfer your PF from offline by using PF transfer form 13.
And take the signature of your current employer on that form.

My previous employer “Date of Exit” and new employer “Date of Joining” are same i.e. Sept 30th 2022.
I signed form 13 and asked previous employer to transfer the PF. But they mentioned as DOE and DOJ are same, they cannot transfer it. They are asking to update DOJ of my new employer.
How can I transfer PF without changing DOE or DOJ ?
Will this have impact at the time of withdrawal at retirement ?

It is not possible to change PF without changing DOE or DOJ in your case.
It is better to change your DOE or DOJ by submitting PF joint declaration form to your PF office along with a request letter.
Otherwise, your first company’s PF amount will remain in it. (You can withdraw only a portion of the PF advance, but not the entire amount)

It doesn’t affect your current and future companies’ PF amounts. You can transfer/withdraw them later.
But unnecessarily you will waste your first company’s PF contribution & service.
If your employers are not helping you with this issue, register a complaint on the EPF grievance portal, and they will give a solution.
I am facing dual employment issue where i have not worked in one of the company but they created pf account and terminated after 10months so i raised grievance to pf office since 15days still i didn’t got response yet… What is the solution to sort this out when i have not worked please suggest …
If the PF is credited to that account, it has to be transferred to your latest PF accounts in an offline process.
For that you have to submit form 13 to your current PF office.

I would like to clarify that I joined L&T in Oct 2019 subject to acceptance of resignation letter from previous company JMC but My Resignation was not accepted by JMC management due to non-availability of component authority even after waiting for 3 months . After returning from vacation, My Reporting manager was suspended from services due to unavoidable circumstances. . I left L&T and continued my Job with JMC with the same PF account. service overlapped of 2 month is being showed by PF portal and claim is also rejected even tried many times.

I requested my PF transfer request, but request got rejected by PF officer with below reason.
OLD ESTABLISHMENT EXIT DATE OVERLAPS WITH NEW ESTABLISHMENTS JOINING DATE.
I know reason of rejection. As my Previous company exit date is 25th July 2021 and current company joining date is 3 July 2021. Reason of the overlapping with exit date with joining date is my previous company after joining month due to project unavailability they told me leave with given 15 days grace duration which is till 25th July 2021. By that time I got another job by 3rd July 2021.
Now how can I resolve this issue, please guide me ?
You have to transfer your PF offline by submitting the PF transfer form 13, and you also need to write a request letter to the PF office stating the reason for the overlapping dates.

Submit PF transfer form 13 to your regional PF office, and write a request letter to the PF office stating your issue.
(You need to take the signature of your previous (or) present employer).

I joined a company on 20th Sep 2018, on the same day few of the policies I did not Like, Next day only I wrote email to company stating that I am not continuing service in your company. But mistakenly they kept my employment active till 24th Dec 2018 and created member ID in EPFO. Now when I am getting service overlapped issue. I have all mails as a proof as well.. which went from my side and they also excepted that I have not reported from the 1st day, somewhere its their mistake to keep my employment active. But still that company is not ready to change my Date of Exit. If any one can help me to letting me know how can I get my DOE corrected that will be a great help friend.
Register a complaint about the company on the EPF grievance porta.
For the date of exit correction, you need to submit PF joint declaration form to your PF office.
The form should be attested by your previous employer.

If there is no difference of names in PF and bank,then it is better to register a complaint on the EPF grievance portal website, they will solve your problem in 2-3 days.
Sir I have service overlapping issue.. Since April/2021 to till now I am working in service company but in between I have joined another organisation for 3 months from June/2021 to August/2021 . Now I am not able to transfer my previous employer fund to my current account due to service overlapping.

You have to visit your PF office directly and by writing a request letter to them you can withdraw or transfer the PF amount.
