EPF members need to activate their UAN number to avail various online facilities related to the PF scheme like PF passbook download, PF transfer and PF withdrawal, and correction of PF details, etc. If you don’t activate your UAN number then you need to depend on your employer or PF office for every small PF related works.
Every employee who is contributing to EPF will have a UAN number and PF account number. If you don’t know your UAN number then you can find it with your PF account number at UAN member portal.
UAN Activation Process
Step 1: Go to UAN member portal and click on activate UAN option.
Step 2: If you already knew your UAN then enter it, otherwise enter your PF member id, or aadhar number or PAN number (which must be already linked to your UAN)
Step 3: Now enter your name, date of birth, mobile number and captcha appearing on the screen and click on get authorization pin.
Step 4: Now you will receive an OTP and enter that OTPand click on validate OTP and activate UAN. Now your UAN will be activated & it will be sent to your mobile number, after that you need to set up a password.
You will be able to download your PF passbook after 24 hrs from the time of activating your UAN.

You should contact ur HR and check if all the details with EPF is matching with Aadhaar card if not ur need to correct Aadhar card visiting local aadhar centre, in my city we Bangalore one for offline mode also do it online by paying minimal fee of 50 rs u can download pdf n sumit

You can able to activate your UAN when your details (like name, DOB) on EPF account and Aadhar matches.
If they don’t match you should correct the wrong one.

Maybe your details (name, date of birth) in your PF account and Aadhar is not matching. Please correct the wrong details, after correction you activate your UAN.
If your PF details are wrong, correct them by submitting PF joint declaration form to your PF office.
If your Aadhar details are wrong, visit your nearest Aadhar enrollment center to correct them.

Your details in PF should match your Aadhar details.
If your Aadhar card details are wrong you need to correct them by visiting any nearest Aadhar enrollment center.
If PF details are wrong you can correct them by submitting PF joint declaration form to your PF office.

Any small difference in name, dob, and gender will cause the above error.
So request your employer to show those details from their employer PF portal.

Without login on the UAN member portal, we cannot know whether our details are correct or not.
You can request those details from your employer. They will see them on their employer portal.
Sir, when I try to activate my UAN it shows “your UAN is not allocated to any establishment”.
Can you please tell me why is it showing like this?
Please check your PF passbook, to know whether the PF contributions are crediting to that account or not.
If every month PF is crediting to that UAN associate PF account, then register a complain on the EPF grievance portal website.

Check whether your name in Aadhar and PF portal is matching or not, if they are not matching then you have to correct the wrong one.
How to change if we have mismatch name in aadhar and pf account

It happens when your PF details like name, dob, and gender do not match with your PF account.
So ask your employer to show those details.

So you have to correct the wrong one.
If it is wrong on PF then submit PF joint declaration form to your PF office.

In that case, you have to contact your employer to know your old UAN, only they can provide it.
