EPF Claim Settled Via NEFT but Not Credited in Bank Account

Uncredited PF money will return to your PF account within 4-5 days. Now immediately correct your bank details on the UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them. After approval of bank details reapply for PF, within 7-10 days you will receive your PF amount.

The main reason for not crediting PF amount is wrong bank account number (or) wrong IFSC code, so you need to correct them on the UAN portal website.

(or) Instead of updating bank details, you can also submit the PF reauthorization form to your PF office, but for this, you need to visit your PF office and employer for signatures.

I recommend you to reapply for PF online because it is an easy process.

(If your bank account is SBI, it doesn’t need employer’s approval also, for other banks employer approval is mandatory to update new bank details on the UAN portal).

EPF Claim Settlement Process

EPF members will receive their PF amount through NEFT within 1-3 working days of the bank from the date of PF claim settlement, if you don’t receive then you have to check your bank account number and IFSC code on the UAN member portal

PF claim settled means your claim was approved by the EPFO office and they sent the amount to your bank account through NEFT( National Electronic Fund Transfer).

Now depending on your bank, you will receive your PF (form 19) and pension (form 10C) amounts within 1-3 working days.

Some EPF members immediately check their bank account after getting a claim settlement message that whether the amount is credited or not. But in reality, it will take 1-3 days time to get your PF amount in your bank account, so be patient and nothing to worry, if you have given the correct bank details in the UAN member portal.

What to Do if Your PF Amount Doesn’t Credit in Your Bank Account Even After 3 Days

“There is only one reason for not crediting the PF amount in the bank account is wrong bank account details such as wrong bank account number or IFSC code.”

So if you are not getting the PF amount into your bank account, then first check whether your bank account details are correct or not in the UAN member portal. If they are not correct, then you have to follow the below steps to receive your PF money.

1. Correct Bank Account Details at UAN Member Portal

If you have claimed your PF amount online in the UAN member portal, then correct your bank account details at the UAN portal and ask your employer to approve them. The approval process doesn’t take much time, it can be done in a few minutes.

Once your employer approves your bank account details in their employer PF portal then you need to claim your PF amount again at the UAN member portal. If you want to know the complete process then read this how to correct already approved bank account details.

2. Submit PF Reauthorization Form

For offline PF claims, if you find that your bank account details are wrong then fill a PF reauthorization form with correct bank account details and submit it to your regional EPF office along with a canceled cheque or bank passbook copy. After submission of the PF reauthorization form, your PF amount will credit into your correct bank account within 7-10 days.

3. Raise a Complaint at EPF Grievance Portal

PF Claim Settled But Not Received

If you still don’t know the proper reason for the non-settlement of the PF claim then you can contact the EPF grievance portal. You need to raise a grievance at the PF portal, once your grievance is registered then you can get a reply from your regional EPF office with a proper reason.

4. Use EPF Social Media Platforms

If your problem was not satisfied by the above options, then the final option is to take your problem to the EPFO through their social media platforms especially EPFO Twitter Account. Nowadays EPFO is very active on Twitter and they are addressing each and every query of EPF members so you can use their Twitter account to address your problem.

5. Visit your regional EPF office

If your problem is not solved with all the above options, then it is better to visit your regional PF office directly and meet the PF officer. Visiting your regional EPF Office will solve 99% of EPF claim settlement problems. If you don’t know your concerned PF office then ask your employer, they will give you the information about your concerned EPF regional office.

FAQs on PF Not Credited in Bank Account

Will Banks Return Non-Credited PF Amount into My PF Account

Yes, if your PF amount is not received in your bank account then the amount will be reversed back into your PF account within 7-10 working days. You can check the returned amount in your PF passbook.

Should I Need to Wait for Return of My PF Amount to Reclaim

It is better to wait for at least 4-5 days from the date of claim settlement, still, if you don’t receive your PF amount in your bank account then you can reclaim your PF either online or you can also submit a PF reauthorization form, irrespective of whether your PF amount returns back into your PF account or not. (Because it will be done automatically)

Do I Need to Visit Bank If My PF Amount Not Credit

No, there is no need to visit your bank. If you find your bank account details are wrong then correct them in the PF portal. In case if you have any other bank problems like an inactive bank account then you can visit your bank to resolve the issue.

How PF amount will be credited

Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) sends EPF claim amount through NEFT ( National Electronic Fund Transfer). NEFT is an electronic money transfer system to transfer money from one bank account to another bank account.

The time taken for PF withdrawal depends on the NEFT timings of your bank. Earlier EPFO used to issue cheques but not the entire payment process is happening via NEFT only.

PF Transfer Claim Settled but Not Credited

If you have submitted PF transfer form 13 either online or offline then you need to wait for at least 30 days. Once the PF transfer to your new PF account then you can withdraw it. But remember while the PF transfer process only the PF amount will transfer into your new PF account, the pension amount will no transfer, it will be saved as service history.

So if the pension amount doesn’t transfer then it is doesn’t mean that your claim is not transferred.  To know more details read why my pension fund was not transferred along with PF.

PF Claim Settled But Full PF Amount Not Credited

This is another rare case where EPF members receive PF claim amount but they don’t’ get the full PF amount, it happens rarely. So before applying for a PF claim it is better to check your PF passbook so that you will have an idea about how much PF amount you will receive.

And remember if you have applied for both PF and pension by submitting PF form 19 and 10 C respectively then you will receive both amounts in a few hours gap.

Still, if you find you don’t receive your full PF amount then raise a grievance at the PF portal, they will tell you the exact reason for less PF credit.

Yes, even for online claims also you can use the PF reauthorization form.

    I am also stuck in such problem. Requesting you kind attention on below:

    1. I applied for the online pf withdrawal on 19th Feb. 2019
    2. The status on the epf portal says the amount got settled on 22nd of Feb. 2019 (Day Friday)
    3. Today is 1st of March 2019 (Time: 03:32pm) and still I haven’t got the amount credited.(Considering 22nd feb. as friday and the consecutive Saturday and Sunday as holiday I was hoping I shall get it 5 working days, means by today, i.e., Friday)
    4. I have checked the details entered into my member login and all the details are found correct.

    – My bank account number is of 12 digit starting with two 00(double Zero) and rest 10 digit are numbers between 1 to 9. But in the member portal the initial two 00 (Zero) is not used. I hope the portal automatically eliminates all initial zero
    – I can see two entries of the same account number in my UAN member portal. I hope this will also not have any problem as both the account numbers are same
    – I have already withdrawn my pension 3 years back (when I left my job) in the same account
    – I tried tracing back the details of my pension withdrawal and I found that the pension got settled on 22nd of December 2015 and got credited in on my account on 28th of Dec. 2015.

    Kindly suggest the way forward.

      Submit PF reauthorization form along with canceled cheque (or) try to add another bank account which doesn’t have any zeroes. Once your employer approves those new bank account details then again reclaim your PF amount online at UAN member portal.

      • Hi Sir, thanks for your reply it really worked as you said and i have some confusion over the pension withdrawals, my previous employers EPF i have withdrawn last year itself and i have switched to other company, and i still have same UAN number transfered and i wanted to know how can i withdraw the previous employers pension withdrawal amount.

  9. In status there is a message like NEFT on 19 Feb 2019, but 2day 25 Feb 2019 till the amount is not credited in my account. I Checked and found that my bank details are correct. What can I do further kindly suggest me.

      Maybe your bank is delaying it, so wait until to end of the day, still, if you didn’t get your PF claim amount then better visit your bank.

    Once by mistake in June 2018, I gave wrong account details and my PF amount status showed settled but never got the money. Then I corrected my account details long back July 2018 and tired 3-4 times but every time it gets rejected. Can you please tell me how can I get my PF money, now I am ready to go to EPFO office and do whatever required.

      Submit PF Composite claim form Aadhar or Non Aadhar along with a canceled cheque to your regional PF office then there is a maximum possibility to get your PF claim amount.
